Settling in with Natalie

Filed under: Tinkleflick News — Ralph @ 11:11 am

2006_01_27 (9).JPGNatalie has reached her two-month birthday and life is settling in.  Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but we have been busy with 3-year-old birthday parties and the completion of the NFL season.  Weekends are starting to feel, call us crazy, normal as we find our new routines.  Natalie is fitting in just fine mainly because she sleeps a lot (something her brother didn’t really figure out how to do until he was almost a year old)!  We had a nice Valentine’s Day and we hope you all did too.  It is really hard to believe that we are already approaching the end of February!  Natalie looks more and more like a little person everyday and is smiling and laughing at us as we go through our day.  It won’t be long before she is rolling over and then becomes mobile.  A few things that we are working on are some more articles about a few things going on around here:  the backhouse is almost done, Ralph is getting braces, we’re working on porting over the content from the old version of the website and there is a bizarre dinosaur head sticking up over a wall on Willow and Bellflower…so stay tuned for all of that very exciting news.  In the meantime (or, as Noah would call it, the “middle time”), enjoy the latest photo gallery that we posted with pictures from January and the first half of February.

Nap Time Proves Productive; Content Migration Complete

Filed under: Tinkleflick News — Ralph @ 1:27 am

I use nap time at tinkleflick to get some things done that are just not possible when everyone is awake. With Natalie sacked out on my lap, Noah asleep in his room and Wendy catching up from the night before, I was finally able to migrate all of the content from the previous version of the website (something that had been on my ‘to do’ list for a long time). Now, the website has all of our goofy articles, pictures and photo galleries going back to September of 2004! You can see the old articles by looking at the ‘Archives’ section to the righ of the front page. The website can now finally live up to its motto of serving as the complete source for all things tinkleflick. One of these days, if I really have the time, I might go back to the really old version of the website that was done in FrontPage, but that may never happen. Working on this project made me realize why I wanted to do it in the first place: looking at these stories and the pictures over time provides a really cool timline of Noah’s development and, I hope, it will do the same for Natalie. Enjoy!
