Natalie has been talking a lot more lately…well, kind of. She has been trying to talk and we can understand most of it but you may need subtitles. So, we made a video and provided you with subtitles. Since Ralph got his Mac and a new video camera, he has started playing with video editing again and, as a result, has been much more prolific with video output. Thanks to YouTube, we don’t have to worry about storage limits or bandwidth so enjoy the newest fruit of all of Ralph’s new electronic gear. We’ll be posting the August photo album next week, so check back for that!
Wendy turned a simple question into a reference in a national publication. Wendy’s question “What is an inch of rain?” submitted to Parade Magazine almost a year ago was published this last weekend. See the question, and the answer, here.
Noah decided some time ago that having a birthday in January did not allow for a pool party for his birthday. So, the fact that we had, like, 75 people over to our house for his birthday notwithstanding…he wanted another party. Thanks to Mano, Noah got his pool party and it was a blast! Noah and his friends played in the pool for hours while, thanks to the in the pool and out of the pool lifeguards, the parents had an enjoyable time hanging out. The weather, thankfully, was mild and sunny (not the norm here in SoCal in August) and Mano’s Resort and Spa was all set-up for the occasion. In addition to the pool were giant bubbles and painting stations (not to mention food and beer). If you are interested, we have both pictures and video.
At the risk of jinxing myself, the summer so far has been mild here in SoCal. Wendy is correct, however, that the summer is really starts in August and drags on through September and, yes, October. Last year, it was 90 degrees on Halloween (ridiculous!). Anyway, all is well here in the house of Tinkleflick. Noah has spent many a day digging in the sand at the various local beaches and Natalie is a little less of a crazed demon (although looking at her hair some mornings, you might think otherwise).
