2018 Holiday Letter

Welcome to the 2019 Flick Family Holiday letter.  We have quite a few updates for this year so we thought we would try a new format.  We hope that you enjoy!

Lulu

Natalie with Lulu on the day we first met her!

This year, we added a new family member.  Lulu joined us in June and has settled in with us.  Unlike previous occupants of the position of “The Dog”, Lulu actually likes Ralph (even preferring him sometimes) but does not like any neighboring dogs or anyone who attempts to invade the house.  She’s quite a bit smarter than previous dogs.  We are very thankful to C.H.E.W. Dog Rescue for taking good care of her and brining her to us!  Lulu spends her days sleeping on Natalie’s bed waiting for her to return from middle school or from soccer or basketball or whatever other activity that keeps Natalie busy all the time.

Dragon Boat

It took almost 50 years but Wendy found a sport that she likes, that she’s not half bad at and that she can do with Noah!  Wendy and Noah regularly hang out with the Gig Harbor Dragons.  They practice early in the mornings, late at night and travel for races including a trip this summer to Flat Head Lake in Montana.  Noah is one of the steerspersons and Wendy is regularly at the front of the boat as one of the experienced members of the team.

The New Boat

After 10 years living in the Puget Sound area, we finally pulled the trigger and joined the boating community!  After taking some lessons, Ralph decided that he just had to have his own boat and we found a reasonably priced starter boat, our 1979 Catalina 22.  We have it moored in Port Orchard for now and we are hoping to have it in Gig Harbor by the summer.  If you are interested in going out for a sail, let us know!!

Happy Holidays from The Flicks

We hope you have a Happy Holiday season and we wish you the best for 2019!
